Appel Farm’s residential Summer Arts Camp is unique in that it strives to provide an exciting and supportive environment for 210 campers and 85 staff from around the world to pursue their interests in the arts while stressing the values of community living. It is our goal to help young people learn more about themselves and enhance their self-confidence through arts engagement while also learning how to interact, work creatively and live with other people. Artists and arts educators of all ages will have the opportunity to gain teaching experience working with youth of different ages and skill levels. You will also have the opportunity to participate in camp activities, workshops, trips, collaborative arts projects, and be a member of a vibrant, creative community.
Appel Farm is located in rural Salem County, New Jersey, just 45 minutes from Philadelphia and Atlantic City and 2 1/2 hours from New York and Washington, DC. We offer e-mail and phone access for summer staff, as well as limited transportation for weekly days off. A potential staff member should be at least 20 years old and enjoy working with children who range in age from 9 to 17.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis for instructors to teach a wide variety of theater, music, visual arts, media arts (photography, video, recording arts, creative writing and journalism), dance, sports and swim.
