Appel Farm Arts & Music Center is just 30 minutes from the Walt Whitman Bridge and 20 minutes from the Delaware Memorial Bridge. We are located minutes from Rt. 40 and other major highways at 457 Shirley Road, Elmer, NJ 08318. Please avoid speeding tickets and obey posted speed of 25 miles per hour in Elmer.
• Cross Walt Whitman Bridge
• take Rte. 42 South toward Atlantic City.
• Exit at Rte. 55 South (Glassboro/Vineland).
• Take Rte. 55 South for 14.5 miles to exit #45 for Clayton, Glassboro and Centerton.
• Take a right off the exit ramp onto Rte. 553
South toward Centerton.
• Take Rte. 553 South for 3.7 miles to traffic light at Rte. 40.
• Right onto Rte. 40 West toward Elmer 1.8 miles to traffic light.
• Continue straight through light for 50 yards
• Veer left onto Rte. 649 toward “True Value” (leave Ret. 40, do not follow arrows to right).
• Continue past SJ Hospital-Elmer to stop sign, bear right.
• Continue to next stop sign, bear right onto Shirley Rd. (Rte. 611).
• Appel Farm is one mile on left.
• Take I-295 South to Rte. 42 South toward Atlantic City.
• Exit at Rte. 55 South (Glassboro/Vineland).

South toward Centerton.

• Continue past SJ Hospital-Elmer to stop sign,
bear right.
• Continue to next stop sign, bear right onto Shirley Rd. (Rte. 611).
• Appel Farm is one mile on left.
• Take Rte. 476 South to its terminus at I-95 South.
• Take I-95 for 2-3 miles to exit #4 for Commodore Barry Bridge/Rte. 322 New Jersey.
• Cross Commodore Barry Bridge and follow signs for Rte. 322 East.
• Take Rte. 322 East for approximately 10 miles.
• Turn right onto Rte. 45 South/Rte. 322 East.
• Follow Rte. 45 through Mullica Hill. (In town, do not follow Rte. 322 East to the left.)
• Rte. 45 will connect to Rte. 77 just south of Mullica Hill.
• Continue on Rte. 77 South toward Bridgeton to Pole Tavern Circle (junction Rte. 40).

Continue south on Rte. 77, 3.3 miles to yellow blinking light
• Turn left onto Shirley Rd. (Rte. 611). Appel Farm is two miles on the right.
• Cross Delaware Memorial Bridge and take Rte. 40 East toward Atlantic City.
• Pass through Woodstown and continue east about 6 miles to Pole Tavern Circle.
• Turn right onto Rte. 77 South and go 3.3 miles to yellow blinking light
• Turn left onto Shirley Rd. (Rte. 611).
• Appel Farm is two miles on the right.
• Take Rte. 40 West through Malaga.
• Continue on Rte. 40 West for 5.5 miles to the traffic light in Elmer.
• Continue straight through light for 50 yards
• Veer left onto Rte. 649, toward “True Value” (leave Rte. 40, do not follow arrows to right).
• Continue past SJ Hospital-Elmer to stop sign, bear right.
• Continue to next stop sign, bear right onto Shirley Rd. (Rte. 611).
• Appel Farm is one mile on left.
• Take Rte. 55 North.
• Take exit #39B, Rte. 40 West toward Elmer.
• Proceed on Rte. 40 for 5.5 miles to the traffic light in Elmer.
• Continue straight through light for 50 yards
• Veer left onto Rte. 649, toward “True Value” (leave Rte. 40, do not follow arrows to right).
• Continue past SJ Hospital-Elmer to stop sign, bear right.
• Continue to next stop sign, bear right onto Shirley Rd. (Rte. 611).
• Appel Farm is one mile on left.
• Take NJ Turnpike to exit #2, Rte. 322.
• Take Rte. 322 East for approximately 3 miles.
• Turn right onto Rte. 45 South/Rte. 322 East.
• Follow Rte. 45 through Mullica Hill. (In town, do not follow Rte. 322 East to the left.)
• Rte. 45 will connect to Rte. 77 just south of Mullica Hill
• Continue on Rte. 77 South toward Bridgeton to Pole Tavern Circle (junction Rte. 40)
• Continue south on Rte. 77, 3.3 miles to yellow blinking light
• Turn left onto Shirley Rd. (Rte. 611).
• Appel Farm is two miles on the right.
Take the 410 Bus (Philadelphia/Bridgeton) to the Upper Pittsgrove/NJ 40 Circle stop. This stop is roughly 3 1/2 miles from Appel Farm. Here are a list of cab companies in the area that will bring you the rest of the way.
To get to Appel Farm from the Pole Tavern Circle, take Rte. 77 South toward Bridgeton for 3.3 miles to the yellow blinking light and turn left onto Shirley Rd. (Rte. 611). Appel Farm is two miles on the right.
