Tennis Minors participate in daily skill-building exercises focused on stroke development and then progress to learning tactical strategy and the etiquette of the game in set and match play. Weekly singles and doubles tournaments give campers a chance to continue building both skills and physical strength and stamina.
SwimThe Swim Minor provides instruction to campers of all abilities to develop their swimming and water safety skills. Aquatic and safety skills are taught in a logical progression, based on the American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim Program. If you already swim, learn how to improve strokes and breathing. If you don’t swim yet, now’s the perfect time to learn and develop confidence in and around the water!
Participate in different team sports each day, and concentrate on learning to work as a team and build skills through non-competitive, cooperative play. Soccer, basketball, street hockey, softball, cricket, volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee are among the many games that Group Games Minors get involved in each session.
Campers are each welcome to play tennis or basketball, or head to the pool for free swim every afternoon. At least twice per week, the Sports and Swim Department also organizes a fun, non-competitive, sporting event such as the ever-popular, annual USA vs. International Soccer Match.
