Camp Directors

Jennie QuinnJennie Quinn, Camp Director

Jennie, a graduate of West Chester University with a BSEd in Early Childhood Education, came to Appel Farm in 2001 as Assistant Camp Director, and was promoted to Camp Director in 2003. She has worked in development, education, film and television production for the Wilma Theatre, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and WYBE Public Television.


CoriCori North, Assistant Camp Director

Cori North is a graduate of Queens University with a B.A. in Elementary Education.  Cori began her teaching career in Cottingham, England, and has spent the past several years as a teacher of gifted and talented students in Summerville, South Carolina.  Her passion for camp comes from her experiences as a counselor, theater director and Arts Department Head at Kamp Kohut in Maine, and recently as the Assistant Director at Camp Curtain Call in Virginia.  Cori has also had the opportunity to direct several children’s theatrical productions and perform in countless productions herself.


Mark PackerMark Packer, Executive Director

Mark joined the staff of Appel Farm in 1984 as Assistant Camp Director. From 1985 through 1987 he served as Camp Director and in 1988 became Executive Director. A native of Montreal, Canada, he is a graduate cum laude of Kenyon College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Prior to working at Appel Farm, Mark was the Camp Director for the Main Line YMCA in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. His love for camping originated at Camp Modin in Canaan, Maine where he attended as a camper from 1966 through 1975, and he then served as a counselor, unit head and co-head counselor through 1980.
