(February 28, 2013 Elmer, NJ) Appel Farm Arts & Music Center is pleased to announce that Bank of America is the inaugural sponsor for the 2013 family matinee series at the Landis Theater. The pledge of $10,000 will help to bring live performances to the southern New Jersey region throughout the coming months. A recent performance at the theater attracted over 600 people to downtown Vineland, a near-capacity audience.

(January 23, 2013 Elmer, NJ) The Board of Trustees announced today that  Dr. Loren Thomas will be the new executive director of Appel Farm Arts & Music Center, effective April 1, 2013.

(Elmer, NJ January 9, 2013) It was today announced that long-time Executive Director Mark Packer has resigned his position at Appel Farm Arts & Music Center. Packer’s 29-year tenure leading the renowned arts center has been remarkable for the many accomplishments and advances that can be credited to his vision. Literally, hundreds of thousands of people of all ages and from all walks of life have engaged in the arts at Appel Farm, or through an Appel Farm program at an offsite location in the past three decades.

 The students of the Arts Academy at the Salem County Vocational Technical School at Arthur P. Schalick High School will present their adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland at Arthur P. Schalick High School on Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7:00 p.m.

Producing a new album is a remarkable event for a performer or band. In a notable turn of events, four of Appel Farm Arts & Music Festival performers will release new recordings in the weeks around the June 2nd music festival in southern New Jersey, and another is enjoying shared success on a hit movie soundtrack.
