Created and led by Rex Fowler (Aztec Two-Step) and Tom Dean (Devonsquare), The Nutopians (a name suggested by Yoko Ono) perform remarkably fresh treatments of Lennon’s Beatles and solo song compositions. The live show features entertaining storytelling, 3-part vocal harmonies and a host of talented musicians performing on acoustic, electric and bass guitars; cello, violin, mandola, accordion, piano, chromatic harmonica and light percussion. The response has been overwhelming with their “Imagined” CD winning the Independent Music Awards “2010 Tribute Album of the Year.”
