Teaching Artist Opportunities
Join Our Roster!
Appel Farm Arts & Music Center is always on the lookout for highly-qualified and talented teaching artists to join our roster. We bring successful and skillful regional artists to schools and organizations in a five county area to teach art, enhance social and emotional skills, promote critical thinking and collaboration, and demonstrate how to grow and thrive as an artist. If you are a passionate and experienced artist with a love for teaching, we want to hear from you! To join us at Appel Farm as a teaching artist, follow the four steps below:
Step 1: Application
Email Kerri Sullivan @ firstname.lastname@example.org with the following:
- An Up-to-date Resume that includes all of your experience in arts and education.
- A Short Biography that highlights your arts and arts education experience including any higher education, awards, accolades, performances and exhibits. Once approved to be a part of our roster, your biography will be used on our website and given to schools or organizations interested in your work.
- Three Professional References that include two references which focus on your skills and experiences as a teaching artist and one reference that speaks to your skills and talents as a professional artist.
Step 2: Interview
We will contact you to set up an interview, either in person or over the phone and/or an observation.
Step 3: Background Checks
Follow these instructions to complete your Criminal Record Check, Finger Print CHRI and Child Abuse History Clearance.
Step 4: Join our Roster
Follow these instructions to complete the necessary legal documents to join our Teaching Artist Roster.
