Girls, ages 10 – 14,  can join us for a 2 night overnight, camp experience.  Located on 115 acres of beautiful fields and woods, Appel Farm is an idyllic (and ideal!) spot for girls to spend time connecting, sharing and learning.  Our engaging curriculum is designed to teach girls about science, the environment and social issues through workshops in the visual and performing arts. Girls have the opportunity to meet other girls from around the tri-state region in a supportive and safe environment that fosters community, personal growth and critical thinking. Our program empowers girls to realize how they, as individuals, can make a difference in the world.

Gender Roles and Stereotypes: Programs for Girls, ages 10 – 11

From March 17-19, girls, ages 10-12, are invited to participate in Appel Farm’s Jamboree Leadership Camp.  For 2 days and 2 nights, girls will take part in super fun activities that tap into their creativity WHILE exploring girl power and the role of women and girls in today’s society and in the media.  Parents can drop their daughters off on Friday night between 6 and 7:30, where they will meet their camp counselor.  Their camp counselor will act as their guide throughout the entire weekend: they will accompany them to all their workshops and meals; they will lead them in games to help them make friends and will facilitate traditional camp activities such as an evening “Fireside Chat”.  Parents can pick their daughters up at 2:30pm on Sunday, after an Ice Cream Sundae party that celebrates their weekends achievements.
