Mother Daughter Art Retreat
March 15 – 17, 2019
Our Mother Daughter Art Retreat is designed for Mothers, Grandmothers, Sisters and Daughters of all ages!
Laugh, listen, and create as you participate in movement, writing and visual arts workshops that explore the concept of dreams. Moms – hear about your daughter’s hopes and dreams for the future. Daughters – discover that mom is not only “mom” but a woman just like you, with her own dreams and aspirations. Come join us at Appel Farm Arts and Music Center for a weekend packed with intentional opportunities for connection. Last year, our workshops included: Fused Glass Jewelry Making, Vision Boards – Dream Big, Plein Air Painting for Beginners, Partner Dance and Yoga, along with a Saturday evening campfire with traditional songs and s’mores followed by a party with line dance lessons, and more. Check back to see an updated list of workshops for 2019.
Additionally, guests will sleep in our cozy, heated dorm-style bunks, fully equipped with bunk beds and modern bathroom facilities. (All you need is a sleeping bag and pillow.) Delicious meals will be served in our spacious dining hall which overlooks our very own organic garden. Head Chef, Jodi, specializes in delicious and nutritious, fresh cuisine, and will accommodate your vegetarian, dairy-free, or gluten-free diet, and any food allergies.
Cost: $260 for a pair of participants. Includes 2 nights of overnight accommodations, 5 meals, all workshops and materials, s’mores, snacks, and an afternoon wine tasting for moms. Additional Family members are $120 per person.
Our goals for the retreat are based on the 6 Cs of Positive Youth Development.
Our over-arching goal for the Mother Daughter Art Retreat is to create a supportive and safe environment that fosters community and personal growth for participants as they enjoy time for intentional and meaningful connection and communication. (Contribution).
