(Elmer, NJ) – David Uosikkinen’s In The Pocket to headline music festival in South Jersey
Philadelphia’s mark on music history gets a special nod at the Appel Farm’s annual Music and Wine Festival this weekend in Salem County, N.J., with headliner David Uosikkinen’s In The Pocket.
Uosikkinen (of The Hooters) all-star rotating lineup will feature members of The A’s, The Soul Survivors, Smash Palace, plus Ben Arnold and Jeffrey Gaines.
The festival has expanded into a two-day event this year with an overnight camping experience. In The Pocket will close out the festival with a Sunday afternoon concert.
Other highlights include regional musicians Hotsy Totsy, Christopher Davis-Shannon, JUTUAN, Deidre Finnegan and Dave Cohen, Joe Crockston, Greg Jones Project and Swing That Cat.
The dedicated “culinary grove” will have plenty of tasty food truck offerings, wines from local vineyards like DiMatteo, Penns Woods, Villari, Wagonhouse and craft beers from South Jersey’s own Flying Fish Brewery.
Bring the kids – there’s a Kid’s Camp for children ages 3 to 13, staffed by the farm’s summer camp counsellors. The camp costs $10 for an entire day of arts workshops and sports.
Those who chose to camp overnight will enjoy a private concert.
A one day ticket cost $20 ($25 at the gate) and two-day tickets cost $40. Tent camping cost $50 and includes a two-day ticket to festival. Private cabin rental is also available and is $500 (cabins sleep up to 10 people). The price includes 10 two-day festival tickets.
