Arts Academy Open House
The Salem County Vocational-Technical School Arts Academy for Dance, Theatre and Visual Arts will present an open house at Arthur P. Schalick High School on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 7:00-8:30 pm. The snow date is Tuesday, February 25, 2014.
Current 8th and 9th-grade students, and their families are invited to attend this information session to learn more about the advanced training opportunities available.
Presentations and performances by current Academy students, tours of the building and a question and answer session will take place.

About the Arts Academy
Appel Farm is delighted to partner with the Salem County Vo-Tech and Pittsgrove Township School District to provide instruction in the arts for area high school students at the Salem County Arts Academy. Your teen will experience the fun and excitement of learning from professional instructors & working professionals hired by Appel Farm to head the Theatre, Dance and Visual Arts departments. Each year your child’s skills will build preparing them for auditions, dance recitals, art exhibits and portfolio display. Their talents will grow, preparing them for a professional career in the arts!
The school year follows the Pittsgrove Township calendar and most classes are held at Arthur P. Shalick High School in Pittsgrove Township. Curriculum also includes special visits to Appel Farm to use their art center facilities.
Entry is by audition conducted by the Pittsgrove Township School system and is open to students entering 9th and 10th grades who reside in Salem County as well as neighboring counties.
