Families to College
Preparing Families for Successful futures
Thanks to the Pascale-Sykes Foundation, Appel Farm Arts & Music Center was chosen to partner with the United Advocacy Group, the City of Bridgeton and Cumberland County College to provide families with opportunities to increase college attainment, expand career advancement and create independence through mentoring and intergenerational activities.
Each family will be connected with a mentor and together they will work to develop and carry out an action plan to meet individual and family goals. Using their plans as a guide, families will participate in program activities and take advantage of opportunities created to help them achieve their specific goals.
It is free to participate in all of the programming and there is a dedicated community learning space in downtown Bridgeton called the Campus Center that is open after school for collaboration, special events and doing homework. Families will be able to take advantage of special college visit experiences , financial aid planning , tutoring and college entrance exam preparation, career development and exploration days, networking, community -building, and fun family enrichment activities.
