Families To College

Supporting families. Building Futures.

Families To College improves academic and employment success in Cumberland County through arts-integrated learning and a comprehensive whole-family mentoring program.

Appel Farm Arts & Music Center works in partnership with the United Advocacy Group, the City of Bridgeton, Bridgeton High School, Cumberland Regional High School, and Cumberland County College to provide a student-centered approach to increased college attainment, expanded career advancement, and personal growth.

The Families to College program offers student action planning, mentoring, arts integrated learning, college and career focused workshops and intergenerational activities for students and their parents to meet individual and family goals toward post-secondary education and career development. Participation is free, and families are able to take advantage of special college visit experiences, financial aid planning, tutoring and college entrance exam preparation, career development and exploration days, networking, community-building, and fun family enrichment activities.

Families to College is generously supported through funds from the Pascale-Sykes Foundation, the Dean and Zoe Pappas Family Foundation, and the New Jersey Office of Faith Based Initiatives.
